Buyer questions

Radiation detector questions before you request a quote.

These answers explain how to start selection and procurement. Final specifications, documents, pricing and suitability depend on the exact model and order.

Selection

Choosing the instrument

Which radiation detector is right for my application?

Begin with the radiation type, expected measurement range, units, operating environment and whether you need portable screening, survey work or personal dose monitoring. A model name alone is not enough, so send the use case and required evidence with the enquiry.

Is a Geiger counter the same as a personal dosimeter?

No. A Geiger counter is commonly used for detecting and measuring radiation in an area or around an object, while a personal dosimeter is designed to track exposure received by a person over time. Some devices display both rate and cumulative values, but intended use still matters.

Can one instrument detect alpha, beta, gamma and X-rays?

Not automatically. Detection capability depends on the sensor, window, energy response and instrument design. State the radiation types you need to measure and ask for the exact model data sheet before assuming broad capability.

Commercial and documents

Ordering and verification

Why is there no fixed price or checkout?

The site is built for B2B enquiries. Price depends on the model, quantity, destination, packaging, documentation and customization scope. A quotation is prepared after those requirements are clear rather than showing unverified stock or delivery terms.

Can you provide calibration or quality documents?

Availability varies by model and supplier. Tell us which standard, report or evidence your procurement process requires. The available documents and their scope should be confirmed before the order, not assumed from a general marketing claim.

Do you support wholesale, distribution or OEM enquiries?

These requests can be reviewed. MOQ, logo placement, packaging, language, accessories, documentation and lead time are assessed case by case after a suitable base model and destination market are identified.

What information should I include in a quote request?

Include the company, country, application, radiation type, expected range or unit, target quantity, preferred timing and required documents. If you are unsure of the model, describe the task instead of guessing.
